At Tail of Swale, maintaining clean and tidy kennels is a top priority. We understand that a clean environment is essential for the health and well-being of the animals in our care. Each kennel is thoroughly cleaned at least twice a day. This involves removing all bedding and waste, followed by a deep scrub of the floors and walls using pet-safe disinfectants. We also ensure that all surfaces are rinsed properly to eliminate any cleaning residues that could be harmful to our furry residents.

In addition to our rigorous cleaning schedule, we implement daily checks to keep the kennels fresh. Each morning, the girls inspect the kennels for any signs of damage or unsanitary conditions, allowing us to address issues promptly. Fresh bedding is provided regularly, and all pet supplies, such as food and water bowls, are sanitized and refilled daily. We also encourage regular airing out of the kennels by opening windows when weather permits, helping to promote a pleasant and odor-free atmosphere. Each kennel comes equipped with an outside run, accessible with a partition, which gets opened at 7am and closed once it gets dark. Each kennel also has its individual heaters.
